Covid-19 Information

We understand why our customers get confused with the procedures of booking a taxi nowadays, in some cases it is not as simple as it used to be. Especially as different taxi companies have unique procedures to fit their needs, but here at Price First Taxis, we are committed to making it easy to book a taxi wether you use the mobile app, the website booker or speaking to our highly trained and rated office staff over the phone.

The only changes that impact your day to day bookings are limited capacity in some of our vehicles and the requirement to wear a facemask (unless you are exempt).

Restrictions on Capacity:
Please inform us if you have anymore than 3 people to transport, although we have a large fleet of taxis, not all our drivers will allow front seat passengers, so please do inform us if you have 4 or more people.

Cleanliness
After each journey our drivers will of cleaned all touch point in the vehicle, they will ensure the car is well ventilated, whether it is a window open a small amount or the cars fan’s switched on low to ensure a constant good air circulation.
At the end of the drivers shift, the driver will also deep clean their vehicle.

Payment Methods
All our drivers will continue to accept cash, but contactless through either debit/credit card or Apple/Google Pay will be preferred. Chip & Pin will also still be available and also preferred.
Emailed receipts are available to all customers, please inform the office if you would like to receive one of these.

Facemask’s & Coverings:
All our drivers will wear a mask while passengers are onboard, unless they have a screen in place.
All passengers over the age of 11 are required to wear a face mask/covering this the law (Unless you are exempt)

Exemption from a mask?:
If you are exempt please be secure in the knowledge that our staff or drivers will not ask for proof of exemption. It would be helpful for you to inform our telephonist’s if you are exempt so we can inform the driver, meaning the driver will not have to ask and you will not be questioned on why you are not wearing a mask.

Request a Screen?
Over half of our fleet of drivers has a screen in place separating the front two seats from the back, these vehicles are in high demand for obvious reasons, so please do request a vehicle with a screen if you would prefer or require one.

Buy a Disposable Face Mask
Just incase you forget your own mask or covering, some of our cars have a small amount of facemasks for sale in their vehicles, these can be bought for 50p per mask.
